Doors Open Days

 Doors Open Days

Doors Open Days is Scotland's largest free annual architectural event, and takes place in September.  It is coordinated nationally by the Scottish Civic Trust and is part of European Heritage Days alongside Scottish Archaeology Month, which is coordinated by Archaeology Scotland.  Both month-long events are supported by Historic Environment Scotland.

Doors Open Days area coordinators create and manage local programmes, and work for a variety of local authorities, civic trusts and heritage organisations.

For media, marketing or corporate enquiries please contact Project Officer Nicola Godsal.

In 2017 Doors Open Days was supported by Historic Environment Scotland, Aberdeen Standard Investments and the Festival of Architecture 2017. Our media partner was The Skinny.

We are busy planning programmes anew for 2018.  To find out on which weekend Doors Open Days will be delivered in your region, visit the DOD website and look at our handy calendar.

We really love to hear your stories from Doors Open Days gone by; please share stories and photos from your visits to venues on facebook and twitter, and remember to tag us too #dodscot

2018's themes are Year of Young People, and European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018: the Art of Sharing
