Heritage Consultancy Services

As a national, independent charity the Trust can provide a unique service, offering impartial advice.

The Scottish Civic Trust has over 50 years' experience of working in conservation and planning. The Trust can offer exceptional knowledge and assessment skills in relation to conservation areas and historic buildings. For 20 years, on behalf of Historic Scotland, we operated the Buildings at Risk Register in Scotland. Through our core activities and nationwide network of local civic societies and conservation groups, we act as a driving force for effective local historic environment advocacy. We put public consultation and community participation at the heart of all our work and place particular importance on its wider benefit to the planning process.
