My Place Photography Competition

What is it?

The My Place Photography Competition (formerly PhotoArch) is a built environment photographic project run by the Scottish Civic Trust for primary and secondary school-aged children throughout Scotland.

It aims to provide young people with the opportunity to express their thoughts, experiences and perspectives on the heritage, buildings and archaeology around them.

All entries will be placed in an online gallery and displayed in a public exhibition.

Two winners will be selected by a panel of judges and these will go on to represent Scotland in a worldwideonline exhibition and catalogue.

Across the World, thousands of children and young adults take part in the International Heritage Photographic Experience, supported by the Council of Europe as part of European Heritage Days.  This is Scotland's contribution to the initiative.

The project is supported by Historic Environmnent Scotland.
