Area covered: Kirkcaldy and surrounding areas
Our aims:
- To stimulate public interest in and care for, the beauty,
history and character of the area of the town and its
surroundings
- To encourage the preservation, development and improvement of
features of general public amenity or historic interest
- To encourage high standards of architecture and town
planning
- To record all aspects of the past
At committee meetings we discuss many subjects relating to the
town including planning issues. Letters are written to the
appropriate authorities regarding any concerns we, or our members,
may have about the town. We organise events, carry out research,
write books and give talks to interested parties amongst other
activities.
We have monthly meetings (usually on a Thursday evening) at the
Linktown Church, Nicol Street.
Any KCS member can come along and join us at a committee
meeting.
