Heritage Management Toolkit

Over the past 40 years, the Scottish Civic Trust has taken an active interest in the quality of development across Scotland.  Well informed independent advice and opinion can pay an important role in planning and the Trust and its affiliated local civic groups regularly comments on planning applications as they relate to the historic environment.

There is a wealth of information, policy, legislation and guidance available aimed at those involved with protecting, managing and reimagining our historic buildings, and this toolkit aims to signpost this existing information.

This toolkit explores and guides on ways to effectively manage Scotland's historic environment and enables all those with an interest to participate in the planning process. It aims to be a dynamic resource, which will be amended and added to.
