SCT Annual Conference

We hold an annual conference as part of our Civic Pride Campaign, which supports over 100 local civic and amenity groups across Scotland, with an interest in heritage, architecture and planning.

As part of our 50th anniversary celebrations and recognising that the Civic Amenities Act was passed in 1967, the Scottish Civic Trust’s next annual conference, in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland and The Institute of Historic Building Conservation, will tackle the theme of “Fifty years of conservation areas” – what has been learned, what has been lost, and what are the threats and opportunities in the future. The conference will take place on Monday 27 November at the Trades Hall, Glasgow.

This year's conference will take place on Tuesday 15th November at Linlithgow Burgh Halls. This conference will showcase and celebrate the work of local civic trusts, amenity societies and heritage volunteers. It will provide them with a platform to show what they have achieved, explain why they do it and set out the challenges and difficulties they face.

SCT's annual conference for 2015 took place on Tuesday 24th November 2015 at Linlithgow Burgh Halls, on the topic of Housing in Scotland; Learning from the Past, Building for the Future. Click here to find out more about the event and the discussions on the day.
