The Scottish Civic Trust's My Place Photography Competition is
a heritage photographic competition for young people of school
age in Scotland.
closing date for submissions was 31 January. All entries are now
posted on the competition galleries.
The winners will be announced on Thursday 23 March
at a special ceremony in The Lighthouse,
is the My Place Photography Competition?
It is aimed at encouraging young people to explore their built
environments in a creative way using photography as means of
investigation and creative expression.
The My Place Photography Competition forms part of Scotland's
contribution to the International Heritage Photographic Experience
supported by the Council of Europe as part of Our Common Heritage

In 2017 the project is sponsored by Jessops; they
actively support the competition through

Who can enter?
- All young people of school age in Scotland are eligible to
- Entrants should be of either primary school age or secondary
- Entries should be made by a group leader or
teacher on behalf of their students.
All entries will be placed in an online gallery and displayed in
a public exhibition.
Two winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
