UK Government responds to VAT consultation

The UK Government has now responded to the consultation on VAT on approved alterations to listed buildings - removing borderline anomalies - read the response here. Transitional arrangements have been improved, however despite continued calls for a u-turn, the proposal to remove the zero rate completely from 1st October this year still stands - the proposal having been debated as part of the Finance Bill at Westminster on Tuesday 3rd July.
