SCOTTISH CIVIC TRUST: FUTURES PROJECT

16 Jun 2010, 10:46

What now for our built environment?

The Scottish Civic Trust has commissioned 5 short ‘thought-pieces’  outlining possible trends, patterns and likely scenarios that Scotland may experience over the next 40 years.

Each thought piece has focussed on one of the following themes:

• Population and Demographics
• Land Management and Food Security
• Politics and Governance
• Technology and Virtual Worlds
• Energy and Climate Change.

What could be the implications for Scotland’s built environment?   How much can we really predict?  To what extent, does the current economic uncertainty make all predictions impossible?

The Scottish Civic Trust invites you to become involved with the debate.  Read the thought-pieces above and add your comments and feedback on our Facebook discussion page here or email them to us at sctonline@scottishcivictrust.org.uk.
